LAPLACE -- A 22-year old LaPlace resident, Reginald Cosey, was arrested in connection with the Oct. 8, 2005 shooting at Dream's Lounge in Reserve.

Cosey was charged with three counts of attempted first-degree murder, possession of firearm by a convicted felon and aggravated criminal damage to property, according to the St. John Parish Sheriff's Office.

The St. John Parish Sheriff's Office reported that in a span of four days, five separate shootings.

The first occurred on Oct. 8 at Dream's Lounge when Cosey, one of eight alleged to have been involved, was firing a gun in front of the lounge. Tramon Dixon, 17, was shot in the chest and Damion Davis, 25, was shot in the leg.

On Oct. 11 another shooting occurred on E. 13th Street in Reserve, where Barry Clark, 42 was shot in the left leg while lying in his bed.

“It didn't seem as though Clark was the one he was aiming for,” said Maj. Mike Tregre, public information officer with St. John Parish Sheriff's Office.

“Several shots were fired, a bullet went through his bedroom wall and hit him in his leg,” Tregre said.

According to reports, Cosey was identified by the victim in a six-man photo line-up. Clark identified Cosey as the person who shot him, and alleged that Cosey had two revolvers in his possession.

Cosey was arrested and is being held at the Sherman Walker Correctional Facility on a $1.5 million bond set by Judge Sterling Snowdy.
