St. James Hospital hosting puberty classes

LUTCHER — St. James Parish Hospital has scheduled its spring Puberty Classes at 6 p.m. March 8.

St. James Parish Hospital’s education team hosts puberty classes to discuss growth and development changes that occur during puberty.

Classes are held in a relaxed, clinical setting and participants must be accompanied by a parent or other significant adult of the same sex. Girls ages 9 through 13 and boys ages 10 through 14 are invited to attend.

Girls and boys classes are held separately. The girls’ class will be taught by female instructors and held in the Medical Plaza Community Education Room.

The boys’ class will be taught by a male instructor and held in the Hospital Meeting Room.

The class fee is $10 per student. Space is limited. To R.S.V.P., visit sjph.org/news. Click the correct puberty class and fill out the online registration form.
