LAPLACE — The Lutheran Church of the Galilean and Thrivent Financial Services are sponsoring their Annual Trunk or Treat Celebration, which is open to the public.

Trunk or Treat will be held from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Oct. 24 at the Lutheran Church of the Galilean at 3404 U.S. 51 in LaPlace.

Free hot dogs, drinks and popcorn will be provided at the event. Children are invited to Trick or Treat at the participating vehicles and can play several games for prizes.

Cash prizes will be awarded for the best child and adult costumes.

The public is invited to enter vehicles in the Trunk or Treat festivities, and prizes will be awarded for the best decorated vehicles.

The trunk or back of the vehicles should be decorated with your favorite Halloween theme.

Vehicles need to arrive no later than 4:45 p.m. to set up.

Please bring treats to distribute to the children attending this event.
