DESTREHAN — More than 80 teams and 200 area businesses participated in the River Region Chamber of Commerce’s seventh annual golf tournament Sept. 25 at Cypress Lakes Country Club in Destrehan.

Outside of golf, the day’s activities included tent cookouts, door prizes and networking opportunities.

The tournament is hosted in conjunction with local businesses to raise money for the Chamber’s annual operating expenses, with a portion given to benefit continuing education for local students.

“The Chamber is so thankful for our generous sponsors who donated time, money and resources to help make the 2015 golf tournament a great success,” Chamber Executive Director Chassity McComack said.

“The River Region Chamber of Commerce has hosted the annual tournament for the past seven years, and it keeps getting bigger and better each year.”
