LUTCHER — Community members are welcome to join Dr. Summer Ledet, licensed clinical psychologist, for a free stress management seminar at 6:30 p.m. Oct. 15 at the medical plaza next to St. James Parish Hospital.

The brief seminar “Boiling Over? Three Secrets to Simmer Down” will introduce the key components to building the life you want.

Have you noticed you have too many things to do lately or you are so busy you aren’t able to enjoy your life?

Do you feel stressed, overwhelmed or spread too thin? Let Ledet teach you how to enjoy each moment, to let go of the things that don’t matter and focus on the things you care about most.

Space is limited. To R.S.V.P. visit a link that can be accessed through the hospital’s website, Facebook Page and online calendars.

Ledet, a St. James Parish native, graduated from Louisiana State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology.

After completing a master’s and doctorate at the University of Tulsa, she completed an internship at the Memphis VA Medical Center. She returned to Louisiana to complete a fellowship at the Southeast LA Veterans Health Care System, where she specialized in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder and serious mental illness including Schizophrenia and Bipolar Disorder.

Ledet was licensed to practice psychology in Louisiana in 2011.

She completed a second master’s degree in August 2015 in psychopharmacology.

“My goal is to help as many people as possible understand the various causes of anxiety and to empower them with multiple, comprehensive strategies for improving quality of life and increasing focus and contentment,” Ledet said.
