“In all my years of law enforcement, I haven’t seen anybody attacked through a drive-through window before,” Tregre said, referring to a violent assault Aug. 26 at McDonald’s that was seen by tens of thousands of people via an uploaded YouTube video.

Four females were eventually arrested after a 16-year-old female was assaulted.

“Them recording themselves greatly assisted us,” Tregre said. “The next step was identifying them. That type of behavior will not be accepted nor tolerated.”

The St. John the Baptist Parish sheriff said he was proud of his detectives for using “good old-fashioned police work.”

“They got the evidence and investigated the case thoroughly,” Tregre said.

Authorities said they do not anticipate making any more arrests.

Tregre said as of late this week detectives still had not discovered a motive for the attack.

The investigation turned public when a video posted to YouTube Sunday showed a young girl pulled from the McDonald’s drive-through window.

The uploaded video appears to be made by someone in a car near the window.

In the video, the victim is heard taking an order from a customer who is not pictured when the attacker’s car arrives.

The attacker is seen standing on the vehicle frame to reach eye level with the fast food employee.

After some words are exchanged, the fast food worker appears to be pulled out of the restaurant through the drive-through window by her hair.

As the victim is pulled down, it appears she breaks the window of the attacker’s car with her leg. In the background, viewers can hear screaming and what sounds like someone crying as the camera pans away from the attack.

Authorities said an assault occurred in the parking lot, but it is not captured on the video.

Medical personnel evaluated the victim at the scene, and she refused treatment, authorities said.

Following the attack, authorities were quick to take action, arresting a 16-year-old female, LaPlace juvenile the next day.

Sierra Gregoire, 18, was arrested Monday. Kailin Holland, 17, of Harvey was booked Tuesday, and Bradnika Gregoire, 20, of Reserve was picked up Wednesday.

Holland was booked with second-degree battery and released from jail on a $10,000 bond. Authorities said they believe she was the aggressor who pulled the victim through the window.

Bradnika Gregoire was issued a misdemeanor summons for disturbing the peace by fighting, and misdemeanor summonses for simple battery were issued to Sierra Gregoire, 18, and the juvenile.

According to authorities, a misdemeanor summons means a suspect is arrested but not booked. They are read their rights and sign a document. The signature acts as a bond, promising they will appear in court.
