The St. Charles Parish Public Works Department is running marsh buggies in the Paradis, Vial and Eighty Arpent Canals to improve drainage on the West Bank. This equipment can damage fishing gear such as traps, nets and lines.

Anyone with gear set in these canals is asked to remove them. The work should continue through Sept. 1. St. Charles Parish officials said they would not be responsible for damages to equipment.
