‘Annie Get Your Gun’ takes stage next month

RESERVE — The St. John Theatre will be celebrating its 35th summer season in the historic theater with the production of Irving Berlin’s “Annie Get Your Gun.”

Rehearsals for “Annie Get Your Gun” are under way at the theater in Reserve. The show boasts a talented cast under the direction of Reserve native Greer M. Millet.

Theater officials said the show is a comedy the entire family can enjoy, with entertaining songs such as “There’s No Business Like Show Business,” “Sun in the Morning and Moon at Night” and “Anything You Can Do, I Can Do Better.”

The lead role of Annie Oakley will be played by Abbie Shull, and Frank Butler will be played by Lance Ural.

The imposing character of Buffalo Bill will be depicted by Jeremy Guidry.

Millet is assisted by vocal director Jordyn Keller and choreographer Lauren Snowdy.

The production dates are July 17-19 and July 22-25. Show times are 7:30 p.m. with a 2:30 p.m. matinee performance on July 19.
